Not all Teachers, TA's, Carers or Support workers are equal
During the time we have had different care for Luis I have observed the following, those who are qualified and want to a make a difference, those who are qualified and just show up, those who are under qualified and those I would be worried leaving Luis with especially if there was an emergency or just in general.
There can be many reasons for this, some of which I do not have the answer for but here are a few I believe can be possible.
Basic training and not enough to cover multiple disabilities, lack of refresher courses undertaken, the pay is not sufficient or insufficient information or handovers in order to fully understand the individual.
I took some time to write this because it can be a sensitive subject and it is probably a mixture of all the above. My objective here is not to name anyone in particular or any establishment, rather it is to find out about other experiences but also to find the underlying causes.
